ASM Materials Camp is a three-day day camp (non-residential) utilizing hands-on learning principles of applied math, physics, and chemistry.
A very unique team-based, intensive problem solving science experience under the direction of distinguished industry leaders and college faculty. Contact information for a reference, preferably a teacher or guidance counselor, is required at registration. Students should have basic knowledge or interest in mathematics, chemistry, and physics and want to learn more about engineering and materials science as a possible college major and career.
Allegheny’s picturesque campus is the perfect backdrop for a week of festive music-making. Two weeks of Band Camps for Adult Musicians will be held in 2018. NOTE: The full Concert Band will play different music during each week.
Week One will be held from June 10 – 16; Week Two will be held from June 24 – June 30. Anyone who participates in both weeks of Camp will play more than 80 different compositions.
Included in the tuition, a group dinner on the first night of Adult Band Camp and special evening sessions during the week build camaraderie amongst participants.
The Camp includes a combination of mini-demonstrations and field trips with extensive involvement in laboratory facilities to actively explore materials science & engineering principles in practice with local industry. This is a competitive application process due to limited laboratory space.
Materials Camp began in 2000 in Cleveland, Ohio and has expanded to 26 global locations for students and 36 locations for teachers.
